I loved my boss and coworkers! They were so supportive and willing to help. I feel that I learned both concrete and abstract skills in working with kids and on a team. After two summers, I feel so much more confident leading a group and facilitating activities. I know this skillset will translate well professionally.
What I wish was different
I wish there had been a more educational focus during the summer. I think that is just a personal preference, but I learned that I like teaching more than leading recreation.
Advice
I would say to observe your coworkers and supervisors carefully because you can learn a lot from their example.
