We are seeking a motivated and experienced Manufacuring and Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude/education, and facilities maintenance experience

Job Title: Manufacturing and Maintenance Technician
Department: Manufacturing
Reports to: Production Manager
Position purpose: Design, fabricate, maintain and troubleshoot production and test equipment. Support continuous improvement efforts by working with engineering to develop new processes and implement cost saving measures.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
1. Design and fabricate new semi-automatic and automatic manufacturing equipment
2. Troubleshoot and repair production equipment
· Drive units
· Hydraulic and pneumatic
· AC and DC circuits
· Sensors and switches
· Machine controls
· PLCs, air logic, solenoids, etc.
· Test equipment
3. Facilities maintenance and repairs
4. Complete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled
5. Fabrication and installation of fixturing
6. Highly diverse duties may include product testing and some production
7. Provide design input concerning the manufacturability of new parts
8. Machine installation, start-up, decommissioning, and rigging
9. Document procedures using ISO 9001
10. Lead safety assessment and documentation process.
11. Performs other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
1. Manual mill and lathe experience
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in related field
3. Demonstrated machine building skills
4. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve PLC and electromechanical equipment
5. Broad working knowledge of PLCs and understanding of ladder logic
6. Broad working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic control circuits
7. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
8. AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
9. Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS preferred
