6-12 Science Teacher

Positions: 6-12 Science Teacher

 Qualifications: Experience: Secondary preferred, but not required. 

Secondary Certificate Highly qualified for 6-12 Integrated Science (DI) or other Science endorsements Description and Responsibilities:

 ● Effectively interacts, communicates, and collaborates with students, parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to foster student learning

 ● Establishes a safe, supportive, positive, and productive learning environment for all students

 ● Demonstrates a variety of 21st-century teaching skills to foster independent, creative, critical thinkers and problem solvers

 ● Designs and facilitates engaging, high-level, sophisticated learning experiences and applications appropriate to prepare students for the 21st century global, knowledge-based society

 ● Teaches concepts and skills based on state standards that facilitate learning and contribute to students’ academic and personal development 

● Teaches performance expectations in science and engineering practices, disciplinary core ideas, and crosscutting concepts, derived from the NGSS Framework

 ● Demonstrates and evaluates the effectiveness of both formative and summative assessments

 ● Participates in faculty meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops

 ● Organizes classrooms and other settings for daily instruction

 ● Effectively uses personal computing devices and software applications for the management of student records, instructional efficiency, and professional development

 ● Meets with parents, administrators, and school counselors as needed to discuss student performance, social and emotional needs, behavior, and personal and academic goals and expectations 

● Performs other related duties as required 

 

Salary: Based on CCCEA Master Agreement.
