Control Systems Engineer

Position Overview:

At Fabriweld Corporation, a Control Systems Engineer will draft schematics, creates bills of material, and create PLC/HMI programs for equipment manufactured in our custom manufacturing facility. A Control Systems Engineer also generates ideas, based on engineering data, for the team to consider when working on the development of new projects, and when modernizing legacy systems.

Skills:

  • Proficient with AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical preferred)
  • Familiarity with Studio 5000, Factory Talk View (Optix a plus), TIA Portal, CodeSys
  • Build PLC and HMI programs from nothing, or edit previous works for optimization
  • Understand Electrical, Mechanical, and Hydraulic systems
  • Familiar with Fanuc robot controllers and teach pendants
  • Familiar with Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD), Structured Code Language (SCL),
    • Continuous/Sequential Function Chart (CFC/SFC), Indirect Addressing.
  • Understand automation correlation between mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite

 Job Functions:

  • Cradle to grave control systems design.
  • Bench test all work, and commission in plant 
  • Customer factory acceptance test
  • Self starter

Work Environment:

  • Office and manufacturing shop floor 
  • Hours for position are dictated by workload and at times often requires more than a typical 40-hour work week.  Some Saturday hours may be required.
  • Limited travel, sometimes to foreign countries 

Compensation:

  • This is a full-time, performance-based position; wages are commensurate with skills and experience. 

Experience:

  • AutoCAD Electrical: 1 year (Required) 
  • Functional Safety Engineer: 1 Year (Desired)
