Global Supply Chain Master Data / Product Change Intern
Scope:
The Summer Intern program provides college students with the opportunity to participate in meaningful projects that contribute to the overall business unit objectives. In addition to the assigned projects, Interns are given the opportunity to participate in activities that encourage networking with peers, managers, and employees.
Job Summary:
The IMDM/PCA Intern position will work with the Global Supply Chain Items Master Data Management (IMDM)/Product Change Analyst (PCA) team. This role will assist in the Global Governance Data Cleanup that will help sync our local systems with our global master system, ensuring compliance and audit mechanisms are in place and local teams are in adherence. Also work with the team on globalization of our work instructions and assisting with data migration support as needed.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
• Work with IMDM team to support on-going projects
• Working with local SME’s (Subject Matter Expert) in clean up initiative to support our Global Governance Policy
• Organize and update relevant data across multiple platforms (IMDM, Baan, Oracle, etc.)
• Supports data conversion activities relative to master item data as applicable
• Assist in defining the business processes that ensure consistency, uniformity, and accuracy of global item data.
• Assist in Governing Master Data though our established metrics
• Adheres to data governance policies and procedures
• Assist team on daily/weekly reports
• Support the MDM Data Analyst Team in daily responsibilities
• Assist in aligning local Work Instructions with our Global Item Set up Standards and Procedures
• Perform various data quality checks, including investigation and remediation steps As business needs dictate, may work extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime
• Creation of packaging parts and secondary packaging bills of materials in e-QMS quality management system
• Creation of Product Change Orders in e-QMS quality management system
• Interface with New Product Launch Change Orders and linkage between Product Change Orders and associated product launches in e-QMS

• Highly self-motivated
• Ability to recommend process improvements
• Ability to understand and follow procedures as well as produce/maintain supporting documentation
• Strong data entry and analytical skills
• Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes and procedures
• Strong working knowledge of Excel is essential (specifically working with macros, formulas and text/character)
• Good time management
• Professional demeanor
• Well-organized with attention to detail and ability to carry out tasks independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with diverse populations
Work Environment:
• Professional office setting
• Willing to report to work in the Victor, NY office.
• This is a paid internship
• Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
• Prolonged sitting in front of a computer
Experience:
• Not required, but prior Internship experience is a plus.
Education:
• Actively pursuing a college/university degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Administration, Business Analytics or International Business entering their Junior or Senior year, or working towards a post-graduate degree
• Minimum GPA 3.0
