Analyst II (Environment Testing)

Eurofins Xenco LLC seeks Analyst II (Environment Testing-Wet Chemistry) in Stafford, Texas. 

Duties: Verifies instrument calibration and QC data passes – run anions and amines; Helps train lab technicians in the Wet Chem area and verifies that the processes they follow meet regulation; Analyzes general chemistry samples from different matrix, to provide information on compounds or quantities of compounds present, according to EPA, ASTM, and Standard Methods. Experience running anions and amines;  Use analytical techniques and instrumentation, such as gas and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), ion chromatography, electrochromatography, and spectroscopy;  Document measurements of samples and Quality Control in logbooks. Interpret data and meet strict guidelines on documentation when recording data in the LIMS database;  Maintain stock of laboratory chemicals and consumables;  Report scientific results and develop techniques for the analysis of environmental samples; work collaboratively in cross-functional teams; Report final scientific results to regulation agencies and clients.

Requirements: position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Biology, Chemistry, or any other degree field plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Must have all of the following experience: 1 year of experience with wet chemistry instrumentation such as Ion chromatography; 1 year of experience analyzing a wide arrange of general chemistry / wet chemistry methods and understanding of the different aspects of environmental testing data for General Chemistry;  1 year of experience multitasking / handling high-volume and short turnaround time in a production-oriented chemistry lab; and 24 credit hours in Chemistry.
