Band Instructor at Ethel Schoeffner Elementary School

Salary:

• $60,000-80,800
• *Certified Teacher Pay
• *Plus a $2000 Recruitment Stipend

Work Duration: 

• Nine (9) months
• 183 Days
• 7.5 hours / day

Responsibilities:

• Set rigorous, appropriate learning outcomes for all students 
• Provide developmental support to students who are learning to play an instrument
• Establish supportive relationships with students
• Engage students in meaningful, developmentally appropriate, real-world learning activities
• Develop authentic and aligned assessments to measure student growth and inform instructional decisions
• Prepare students for public presentation and performance of instrumental music ensembles 
• Prepare students to be able to transition from elementary to middle school level band performance
• Collaboratively work with team members to fulfill the mission, vision, and beliefs of both the school and the district
• Serve as an ambassador of St. Charles Parish Public Schools 

Certification / Requirements:

• Bachelor of Arts or Science degree
• Possess a Louisiana teaching certificate Type “A,” “B,” or “C,” - or- Level 1, 2 or 3 in Instrumental Music
• Experience in working with various grade levels in instrumental music instruction PREFERRED
