Work Duration:
- Nine (9) months
- 183 Days
- 7.5 hours / day
Responsibilities:
- Set rigorous, appropriate learning outcomes for all students
- Provide developmental support to students who are learning to play an instrument
- Establish supportive relationships with students
- Engage students in meaningful, developmentally appropriate, real-world learning activities
- Develop authentic and aligned assessments to measure student growth and inform instructional decisions
- Prepare students for public presentation and performance of instrumental music ensembles
- Prepare students to be able to transition from elementary to middle school level band performance
- Collaboratively work with team members to fulfill the mission, vision, and beliefs of both the school and the district
- Serve as an ambassador of St. Charles Parish Public Schools
Certification / Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree
- Possess a Louisiana teaching certificate Type “A,” “B,” or “C,” - or- Level 1, 2 or 3 in Instrumental Music
- Experience in working with various grade levels in instrumental music instruction PREFERRED
