EMPLOYER:           ReaderLink Distribution Services, LLC

POSITION:              Data Scientist II

DUTIES:                  The Data Scientist will be the primary source of statistical rigor and testing across the RDS and RMS enterprise.  This position will be required to deploy standard data mining protocol to be sure all subsequent analytics, modeling, A.I. and machine learning algorithms operate on unbiased and relevant data. The Data Scientist is required to have operating knowledge of single and multivariable regression techniques to model predictive independent results. These techniques are needed to be automated and attached to auto intelligent processes that self-correct using statistical variance detection. This position requires experience with data mining for analytics, to be sure of reporting completeness and its unbiased nature when being applied to all data analysis packages and automated statistical tools. When data isn’t present, or incomplete the Data Scientist must be able to simulate results, forecast results, and develop a description that passes statistical rigor in testing also containing ample explanation. Specific job duties include, required to build standard predictive regressions across the enterprise. RDS is interested in being able to feed a comp cluster to these titles and predict POS /returns for title lifecycles. All regression models need to be easily explainable and defensible to all levels to avoid over complexity of prediction. Develop reliable store level reporting to observe behavior that’s predictable but isn’t communicated from the customer. The ultimate goal is to be able to have an automated warning system when any club for any chain changes statistical rank so that more research can be done on the affects this has micro and macro. From all the requested modeling needs above, the Data Scientist needs to deploy these models in an automated fashion and attach them to our ERP system and enterprise data warehouse.  Data needs to automatically feed into systems and predictive results need to be generated automatically for review of variance. Develop image and text recognition cognitive process to assist in various facets of supply chain optimization, forecast and process improvement.  Utilize AI technology in combination with Python or R software systems. Assist in building and manning automated cloud serviced machine learning processes to be sure of their predictive direction and accurate operation. These models may be part of solutions currently purchased or may require some scouting to find and connect to our systems. The Data Scientist will be expected to propose and research these models and reflect validation for the organization.
