Quality Intern Summer 2024

The Quality Intern will gain practical experience in QA/QC/Lab procedures while assisting with daily quality tasks and projects at the Innophos manufacturing site in North Salt Lake, UT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily operations:
    • Support sample receiving, prepare materials, clean glassware, calibrate equipment, conduct tests, and report data
    • Assist in organizing and managing laboratory databases and retrieving data for analysis
    • Aid in document control activities such as filing, sorting, and organizing documents
    • Participate in GMP inspections and audits
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives:
    • Assist in stability testing projects
    • Under the supervision of quality management, support process verification through data collection and analysis
    • Assist in implementing corrective actions based on inspection findings
    • Support on implementing and maintaining the 5S system for lab/QA/QC
    • Provide assistance for any projects assigned by quality management

Required Education and Experience

Completion of sophomore college year in Food Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in MS Office, specializing in Excel for data analysis, Word for documentation, and PowerPoint for presentations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and multitasking
  • Clear and effective communication

Assignment Duration:

  • 10-12 weeks

  • Final presentation of Intern/Co-op activities & learnings
