Grant Management Specialist

You will serve as a Grant Management Specialist performing work involving: (1) the management, award, and/or obligation of funds for grants, cooperative agreements, and other related instruments and services using financial, administrative, business and negotiation procedures; (2) the competitive or non-competitive evaluation of grants proposals; and/or (3) the administration or termination, and/or closeout of grants.

This position is eligible for on-site and remote duty stations.

As a Grants Management Specialist you will:

  • Award and administer grants, cooperative agreements, or other related instruments.
  • Design, develop, implement, and interpret grants/assistance management policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Provide training, technical assistance, oversight, ethics advice, expertise, and consultation to program officials, awardees, review panels, applicants, recipients, and subrecipients as needed.
  • Review and evaluate adequacy of grants/assistance policies and procedures.
  • Serve as liaison between the Government and awardee organization.
  • Determine awardee eligibility using formulas and methodology and established eligibility criteria, such as competitive rating factors.
  • Announce programs and solicit applications or proposals for funding under assistance awards.
  • Oversee, review, analyze, and evaluate grants/assistance applications, plans, and estimates.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of grants/assistance awards to include costs, schedules, and oversight responsibilities.
  • Prepare, process, issue, and track grants/assistance awards and compliance with reporting requirements.
