Qualifications Required:
- Master’s Degree in Education Psychology or School Psychology
- Michigan Department of Education approval as a school psychologist
Qualifications Desired:
- Knowledge of state and federal mandates that relate to the evaluation and identification of students with disabilities
- Ability to analyze, interpret and report quantitative and qualitative data
- Strong understanding in Multi-Tiered-Systems-of-Support (MTSS)
- Experience with data based decision models for continuous improvement and/or intervention planning
- Expertise in assessment including curriculum based measurement and diagnostic practices
- Ability to be self-directed and self-motivated
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with students, parents, and staff members
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work as a team member
- Possess technology knowledge and skills.
- Knowledge and Experience with Behavioral Analysis including Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- This position requires long periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
- The position requires occasional lifting of supplies and movement of classroom furnishings during the course of the school day.
- Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, with some travel to other schools or field trip locations.
Work Year & Salary: Per the MDMEA Agreement
