Jupiter Aluminum is a scrap-based aluminum mill and provides mill finish and painted coils. The company was founded in 1992 and is privately owned. We serve mainly the Building and Construction markets, but also supply Service Centers and Federal and State Governmental agencies.

 

Jupiter Aluminum Corporation is looking for ambitious and enthusiastic students who are interested in pursuing a career in the manufacturing industry. Students who have an interest in how various machinery plays a vital role in the production process both from an engineering and safety standpoint should apply! 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides technical and process assistance to define, measure, and analyze in an effort to help with the creation of putting in place a Control plan. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mentor managers to implement and understand manufacturing plans and projects.
  • Become familiar with various machinery and systems.
  • Estimate manufacturing project costs and work with outside vendors with various projects.
  • Develop record-keeping systems for manufacturing operation processes.
  • Any other duties assigned. 

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Regularly required to walk, stand, and talk or hear.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasional reaching with hands and arms.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Regularly lift 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to access and inspect all areas of machinery.
  • Regularly apply reasoning and common sense.
  • Use muscles to lift, push, pull or carry objects.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or process engineering or related field, preferably with a junior or senior year standing
