Royal Family Kids Camp is looking for a qualified videographer intern to join our camp team in 2024! Our team is made completely of volunteers that are excited to use their God given talents and gifts to bless the children in our local foster care system for this one exciting week of summer camp. Any RFK team member should be prepared to spend a fast-paced week outdoors, with kids, and be mentally and spiritually mature enough to handle tough topics and situations.

Room, board, and meals will be fully funded for the selected intern for this 6-day long internship program. You will gain insight and experience into campground ministry, social work, the foster care system/DCS, behavior patterns and struggles of children from abuse and trauma, and how to love some of the most forgotten people in our population. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Get all production shots required to make “RFK Safe” promo video. We will provide example videos to show the desired outcome.
  • Get all production shots required to make “Volunteer Safe” promo video.  We will provide example videos to show the desired outcome.
  • Edit all video/sound necessary to make videos.
  • Have all editing finished and both videos ready to play by end of camp week.
  • Keep “Safe” video clips organized for future promo use.

Learning Objectives 

Throughout the duration of the internship the intern will learn how to, or improve their skills to:

  • Get excellent action shots in a discreet manner that doesn’t disrupt the event.
  • Record videos in many types of environments and lighting.
  • Work with a large group of people on a large-scale project where independence, self-discipline, humility and grace must be present.
  • Use their learned and God-given skills to serve Jesus in a humbling, yet life changing way.

Requirements:

  • Must have examples or portfolio of previous work.
  • Must be able to complete multiple projects with little to no supervision.
  • Must be able to bring all equipment necessary to complete all video shooting and editing.
  • Must be able to attend RFK interview, trainings (located near Ft. Wayne Indiana), and pass background checks.
