IT Intern

Responsibilities

Overview:

The IT Intern is responsible for assisting the Dexter IT Team with IT projects, support the HelpDesk, support maintenance of systems and equipment, support software and hardware rollout efforts of the Company, and collect and analyze and report as required.

 

More specifically, this position will be responsible for activities including but not limited to the following:

 

  • Assisting with oversight of daily performance of computer systems 
  • Providing technical assistance to computer system users as well as providing 2nd and 3rd level support in later assignments and in Junior/Senior years of school
  • Investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving problems 
  • Setting up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software 
  • Helping support IT desk side and remote. 
  • Maintaining equipment inventory, recycling unused equipment and tracking equipment movement between facilities 
  • Performing repairs and upgrades to hardware and software
  • Installing, configuring, and testing Computer Hardware and Software
  • Liaising with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education Level:  High School Diploma required and a current student actively attending an accredited University in a related Major program of study.

Education Program/ Area of Study:  IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering

Languages Required:  English
