Hitachi Astemo xEV BU is looking for an individual to join our team as an Industrial Engineering Intern at the Greenfield, IN location.

In this role, and under the direct supervision of Engineering Management and/or their team, the Intern will support both New Product Introduction and Mass Production. This position will be part of the Production Engineering Team for both EV and ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) products and will help support continuous improvement of processes, workflow, associate work activity and logistics.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assigned project for completion during duration of Internship.
  • Product and Process Improvement activity
  • Ergonomic reviews of current and future production processes
  • Workflow analysis of current and future production processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during agreed upon Internship period.
  • Must have transportation to and from Greenfield, IN facility. (Not a remote position)
  • Working on Engineering or Technical Degree or have been accepted into and planning on attending a post-secondary education facility for Engineering or Technical education.
  • Desire to work in the automotive industry
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively
