Supplier Quality Intern

Hitachi Astemo is looking for an individual to join our team as a Supplier Quality Intern at the Greenfield, IN location.


In this role, and under the direct supervision of the Quality Manager or their team, the Intern will support the Supplier Quality department functions. The purpose of this position is to assist with ensuring supplied parts meet the quality requirements set forth by Astemo and our customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Assigned project for completion during duration of Internship.

Oversee daily supplier related concern

Maintain tracking and reporting of supplier activity

Develop process improvements to reduce quality associated defects from Supplier

Support QIP and QAV activity

Monitor and direct daily outsourced inspection

Other Duties as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during agreed upon Internship period.
  • Must have transportation to and from Greenfield, IN facility
  • Working on associate or bachelor's degree or have been accepted into and planning to attend a post-secondary education facility in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or similar programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in Supplier Quality preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
