Youth Experiences Intern
SJCPL Youth Services department is looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated person to help develop summer experiences for youth and their families. These may include crafts, storywalks, STEAM challenges, and much more. As our intern, you will assist with our annual Summer Reading Club and other youth-focused initiatives, as well as have the chance to develop your own engaging activities in the Youth Services space. You will have the opportunity to gain experience working with the library's youngest patrons.
A job at SJCPL is a chance to give back to the community while also gaining real life experience in a dynamic and challenging environment. People who work at a Library are committed to public service (and also get to spend their day surrounded by books).

Qualifications:
Relevant experience:
- Passionate about working with children
- Experience working with youth and their caregivers is preferred
- Comfortable using Internet, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Windows and Mac OS
- Community-minded
- Exercise initiative, be enthusiastic, creative, flexible, energetic, value diversity, and possess a sense of humor
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
