Readers' Services Intern
Do you consider yourself an avid reader Do you love helping people find their next best read As the Reader's Service Intern, you will help bring Reader's Advisory (RA) to the library's diverse community. RA is a service provided by libraries to assist patrons in finding books and other materials that match their reading preferences and interests.
SJCPL's Customer Service department is seeking a curious, self-motivated, and detail-oriented person to help promote recreational reading and the Adult Summer Reading Club. In this position you will help with readers' advisory tools, promotional materials and displays, and aid in the organization and distribution of prizes systemwide for the Adult Summer Reading Club.

Qualifications:
Relevant experience:
- Deep knowledge and passion for books and all things literary
- Excellent communication, promotional, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using Internet, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Windows and Mac OS
- Comfortable using social media, including Tik Tok, Instagram, and Facebook
- Community-minded and service oriented
- Exercise initiative, be enthusiastic, creative, flexible, energetic, value diversity, and possess a sense of humor
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to lift 10-20 lbs occasionally and stand for several hours at a time
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
