About the Position:

Under the general direction of the Office Chief of Mobility & System Performance, a Supervising Transportation Engineer (Supervisor), the incumbent, a Senior Transportation Engineer (Supervisor), serves as a functional manager of the Transportation System Improvement Program (TSIP) Branch. The incumbent serves as the statewide project advisor for State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP) Operational Improvement (OI) projects; supports TSIP functions and activities that improve the operations of the State Highway System (SHS) by reducing delay, improving reliability and roadway safety, enhancing goods movement and freight access, and improving modality and accessibility; and monitors the SHS to identify mobility issues requiring investigation and improvement.

Valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers is required.
