Mechanical Design Engineering Intern

HOVER CITY is seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to join our team. You will work closely with our engineering team to design and develop innovative mechanical systems for our modular living unit. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that will help shape the future of sustainable housing and disaster relief.

📝 Main responsibilities

  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical systems within projects.
  • Design and analyze mechanical systems for our modular living unit, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Participate in the design of automatic bolting systems, chassis, and anchors, collaborating with senior engineers.
  • Design and analyze automatic bolting system, chassis, and anchors.
  • Perform calculations and simulations to ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.
  • Learn and apply building codes and safety standards, conducting simulations for system compliance.
  • Assist in developing detailed design drawings and prototypes using relevant engineering software.
  • Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with structural and electrical systems.
  • Engage in discussions, workshops, and site visits to enhance skills and understanding of real-world applications.
  • Receive guidance and mentorship while gaining hands-on experience in mechanical engineering practices.

💪 Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
