Here is how the Land Development, Administration, and Title Intern role will impact our business:

As a Land Development, Administration, and Title Intern, you will get a front-row seat to the inner machinations of a large-scale gas exploration and production company’s land department.  You will get hands-on experience processing title, analyzing leases, and preparing a lease for its long life in production.  You will do so by circulating through EQT’s Land-Title, Land Administration, and Land Unit Development subdepartments while they support $130+ million in annual spend, 110+ annual well program, the distribution of hundreds of millions in royalties, and the routine maintenance of nearly two million acres.

The Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Processing title documents, including the assessing of their sufficiency for use in our operations.
  • Review/analyze title documents to determine ownership, curative and related risks.
  • Process and analyze lease documents.
  • Maintain the lifecycle of documents from initial entry to recurring maintenance and reporting.
  • Review and advise as to pooling and unitization declarations and related documents.
  • Assist in routine efforts to create Divisions of Interest and process changes of ownership or address.
  • Learn how to maximize large quantities of data in an effort to advise internal customers.
  • Participate in recurring and ad hoc meetings.
  • Work within our state-of-the-art proprietary digital work environment daily to perform all of the above.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Senior/Rising Senior, or post-graduate students
  • Undergraduate degree in a business/economics and/or energy & land management (or similar) preferred
  • Current post-graduate students (e.g. law students) are welcomed to apply
  • Prior experience in oil and gas land work preferred

Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York.
