Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Behavior Analyst 2 for the Shapiro Center located in Kankakee, Illinois to perform highly advanced technical and consultative behavioral analysis and modification program for individuals with developmental disabilities. Develops and implements training curriculum program for Behavioral Analyst Associates. Trains, evaluates, and monitors the progress of Behavioral Analyst associates during training period. Serves as designated lead worker. Evaluates and interprets assessment and data to formulate interdisciplinary approaches to behavior problems.


Job Responsibilities
1. Performs highly advanced technical and consultative behavioral analysis and modification program for individuals with developmental disabilities.
2. Determines data needs and develops data collection methods for various evaluation and research projects to ensure data collection procedures effectively outline information required to assess evaluation and research results in the field of developmental disabilities in order to enhance behavioral and skill training programs.
3. Serves as designated lead worker.
4. Develops and implements training curriculum program for Behavioral Analyst 
5. Serves as a member of the facility-wide Behavior Intervention Committee.
6. Integrates various facility and community-based services to meet the needs of individuals.
7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.


Minimum Qualifications
1. Requires current, valid certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)* or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst-D (BCBA-D) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or its success or organization.
AND
Requires five years of professional experience in applied behavior analysis.
A master’s degree is required to gain BCBA certification; a doctoral degree (PhD) is required to gain the BCBA-D designation.


Conditions of Employment
1. Requires ability to physically restrain individuals as necessary to prevent injury to individual or others.
2. Requires the ability to work after business hours, weekends and holidays.
3. Requires ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
4. Requires the ability to travel in the performance of job duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
5. Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
6. Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
7. Requires ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.

Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm; one early, one late & one weekend day per month
