Non-profit and Outreach Intern

On behalf of SSAI and the Bahethi Family Foundation we are seeking a dedicated and passionate intern to support our nonprofit and outreach initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for students studying education, communications, social work, or related fields to gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector and outreach sector. This is a Hybrid position that requires some work to be performed in the Lanham, MD area.

Responsibilities: 

• Assist in organizing and coordinating outreach events and programs.
• Manage and update outreach databases and Google Sheets.
• Create and schedule content for social media platforms to raise awareness of our mission and activities.
• Conduct research on Title 1 education and related topics in particular to STEM.
• Provide support to the nonprofit team.

Required Qualifications: 

• Currently pursuing a degree in education, communications, social work or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using Google Sheets and other office software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms.
• Passion for nonprofit work and outreach initiatives.
• US Citizenship Required

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge or understanding of Title 1 education is a plus
