DIRECTOR INTEGRATED MARKETING

Job Title: Director of Integrated Marketing

Essential Function: This position serves as lead in developing and executing long-term marketing strategies for key categories and short-term strategies within each promotional window. Working closely working with key cross-functional teams, this role will lead development and execution of all supporting assets that will drive traffic and conversion. This position is located in Denton Texas and working a hybrid model reporting into the office in Denton Texas 2-3 days a week.

Primary Duties:
40%:

  • Combine marketing thought leadership, an understanding of our capabilities and objectives and strategic direction to support key categories across Sally Beauty. This will require a blend of strategic planning, financial acumen, strategic analysis, influence management and execution skills to turn data points into actionable plans.
  • Work with consumer insights, analytics, competitive teams, key corporate and divisional stakeholders to clearly highlight opportunities and challenges within the key categories.
  • Improve ROI from segment marketing activities by defining quantitative metrics to measure and optimize all areas of the function.
  • Own marketing strategy and briefing for agency creative development for media campaigns, retail merchandising and digital/social media presence.
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.

30%:

  • Lead the Innovation to Market Process through cross functional team, in partnership with Director of Marketing Strategy. Define objectives, strategy, rationale and KPIs for all promotions. Ensure on-time, on budget and seamless rollouts to stores
  • Develop marketing communication strategy through all consumer touch points – within stores and outside via advertising, local marketing, digital, social and more.
  • Leads process improvement between internal Marketing, Merchandising and Store Operation teams through collaboration and stakeholder alignment. Effectively articulate and present monthly/annual strategic initiatives to Senior Executive teams.

20%:

  • Manage team while providing development opportunities-seeking feedback, resources and tools to continue to build and improve skillset on an on-going basis. Includes IDP development and execution for direct report and self.

10%:

  • Manages relationships with external agency partners including creative and media planning, and buying resources.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years in marketing, field marketing is a plus
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with Word and Excel

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements:

  • The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
  • The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
