Summer 2024 Purchasing Internship Program

Huntsman is now searching for a Pricing Intern located at our global headquarters in The Woodlands, TX. This internship is for Summer 2023.  

Our summer intern program is tailored to individuals who are currently enrolled full-time students at an accredited four-year college or university. The internship runs from May to August - dependent on the school calendar. The goal of the Huntsman Intern Program is to provide a structured program that will equip interns with the skills and experience to help prepare for a successful career. 

 

As a Pricing Intern, you will: 

Provide pricing analytics support for Pricing and Commercial team 

Work cross-functionally with other functional team members on pricing excellence and profit improvement projects 

Learn about the value of pricing intelligence to the bottom line of the company 

Make pricing insights to drive decisions using financial parameters under the direct mentorship of a Pricing Manager 

Collaborate with internal customers to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive process improvement 

Measure/monitor the results of strategic and tactical pricing decisions, and present key findings to management 

Interpret customer pricing agreements and make recommendations on improvement tactics 

Coordinate the implementation of profit improvement strategies and analysis of market rates to identify potential areas of opportunity for pricing adjustments 

Design, support, and implement communication and awareness efforts that create/maintain organizational discipline around pricing and yield strategies 

 

What are we looking for in the ideal Candidate? 

A full-time college student at the Junior, Senior or Master level by the end of Spring 2022 

Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business administration, Marketing, or Statistics 

Must have courses or experiences that demonstrate an understanding of accounting or financial data 

Independent self-starter with a high level of confidence and energy and a Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills 

Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint etc.); Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with the ability to create pivot tables and v-look ups is preferred; Familiarity with data aggregation tools 

Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
