Our Enterprise IT Internship is designed to make a direct impact on a broad variety of projects. You must be motivated to deliver innovative capabilities that directly impact some of GDIT’s most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects across the country.

A Day in the Life

· Assist in researching, designing, developing, and/or modifying enterprise-wide or customer systems

· Assist in performing systems modeling, simulation, and analysis

· Assist in testing, diagnosing, and fixing incidents

· Participates in large system and subsystem planning

· Help ensure that applications and systems are compliant with established quality standards and meet customer and regulatory requirements

· Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

· Participate in special projects as required

· Supports the completion of technical tasks

· Assists with the solutions to technical problems of limited scope

· Assists with the coordination for new products, software, upgrades, and equipment

· Assists with documentation for processes and procedure related to computer systems and operations

Must Haves

· Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar discipline

· Ability to actively collaborate with others

· Strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)

· Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude

· Ability to manage projects and prioritize competing requirements in a fast-paced environment

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical terminology, concepts, and issues in terms understandable to both technical and non-technical resources

· Ability to build meaningful relationships with manager and members of your team in a remote environment

· Ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities

· Intuitiveness with an ability to identify and solve complex problems related to rapidly changing technology

· A sense of genuine, intellectual curiosity and a nimble mindset

What you Offer as a Stand-Out Candidate

· Familiarity with IT systems and demonstrated proficiency in various programming languages

· Understanding of software development best practices

· Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

GDIT interns are paid and full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks. Applicants should have a minimum of one semester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. Take the first step and apply today!
