How You’ll Make this Internship Opportunity Your Own
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing & Communications intern that will provide functional support to execute key marketing and communications initiatives for both internal and external audiences. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to create, deploy, expand, and maintain GDIT’s brand awareness and ongoing marketing efforts. Additionally, this opportunity will help you acquire key marketing skills, knowledge, and strategies that align with GDIT’s mission. We are seeking an individual who is an out of the box thinker, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves and illustrate their marketing creativity through their work productivity.
A Day in the Life
- Support the execution of strategic campaigns that are aligned to business priorities
- Assist in website updates utilizing our content management system including adding and updating content/landing pages, videos and images on the GDIT website
- Author content to support digital marketing to include landing pages, social media posts, and email campaigns
- Draft content pieces in support of marketing infrastructure efforts (e.g., collateral, web content, social copy, etc.)
- Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by assessing key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Collaborate with media and technology partners in support of shared marketing strategies and tactics
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of trends, innovation, and new technologies to advance programs
- Develop content for intranet and other internal communications
The Must-Haves
Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or other related major, or other related field from a United States-based college or university.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Teams)

- Excellent written and oral communications skills are required, including editing and proofreading
- Accuracy and attention to detail is required in performing all functions of this position
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with manager and members of your team in a remote environment

- Active in seeking out ways to develop yourself and gain new knowledge personally and professionally

What you Offer as a Stand-Out Candidate
- Previous work experience related to your field of study
- Experience working with a variety of content formats (e.g., landing pages, email campaigns, infographics, and video scripts)
- Familiarity with writing, graphic design, and/or web content production and management
GDIT interns are paid and full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks. Applicants should have a minimum of one semester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. Take the first step and apply today!
