2024 Charles Schwab Charitable Service & Operations Internship (Westlake, TX)

Throughout the 9-week paid Service & Operations internship within the Schwab Charitable organization, there will be inspiring opportunities that welcome you into the Schwab culture and immerse you into your role. The interactive program focuses on a variety of opportunities which feature a business track project, an intern cohort project, learning activities, volunteering in the community, a dedicated intern leader, networking, and exploring your unique personal strengths! In this role, you will support Schwab Charitable, which is an independent public charity created to increase charitable giving in the United States by offering the flexible giving solution of a donor-advised fund (DAF) account.If you are passionate about providing great service to our clients, their advisors, and the charities they choose to support and learning about how we help clients maximize their giving power, then this is the role for you.

Schwab Charitable was founded by Charles Schwab & Co. and while it operates as an independent charity, it is closely affiliated with and enjoys the support of Charles Schwab & Co, including contractual agreements to provide a variety of services. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co. and will be subject to its human resources and risk policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to Schwab Charitable for day-to-day activities.

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program tracking to graduate between August 2024 and June 2025
  • Ability to work full time and be on-site at one of the Schwab locations during the 9-week program (June 3 to August 2, 2024)

  • A passion for philanthropy and learning about the Financial Services industry
  • Confident and engaging presence
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and service skills
  • Resourcefulness and flexibility, who enjoy working through cross-functional partnerships and collaboration to achieve a common purpose
  • An innovative and questioning demeanor, who constantly look for better ways to do things, have a passion for service, and seek to exceed client expectations

Colorado Compensation

Target Total Compensation - $24/hour
