Data Scientist Co-op
The Data Scientist Co-op is responsible for identifying causal inference from structured and unstructured data of our operations. The DS will utilize various supervised learning techniques to draw insight and gain predictive power to mission critical KPI’s that drive business objectives.
What will you do?
- Develop, quality test, and deploy algorithms using a variety of statistical/machine learning techniques that will help classify, predict, or detect anomalies in a variety of mission critical Key Performance Indicators of our operations.
- Conduct data acquisition, exploration, preparation, and preprocessing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to scope the business opportunity.
- Summarize and present technical information to inform leaders to influence business decisions.
- Comply with Environmental Health/Safety, operations and other business requirements.
- Engage in self-development to enrich your skillset to fulfill your career aspirations.
What do you need for this role?
- Working on a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or Statistics.
- Minimum of Junior Year and have completed courses in Calculus, Differential Equations, Statistics, and coding in Python, R, Javascript or something similar.
- Completed coursework in building, training, and testing machine learning models.
- Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
- Working knowledge of Tensorflow, Pytorch, Sklearn is preferred
- Familiarity with cloud computing platform (Azure, AWS, GCP) is preferred
- Experience with MLOps tools (Azure DevOps. AzureML) is a plus
- Masters or PhD candidate is preferred
