Job Description:
Core Finance Team is an Indianapolis, Indiana-based health care consulting firm which specializes in finance and governmental reimbursement. Core Finance Team is led by a committed group of talented executives who have each gained over twenty years of experience working for the “Big Four” accounting firms in the Healthcare industry. Core Finance Team anticipates a need for up to two (2) analysts for Spring 2024. The analyst positions will run from January 8, 2024 through April 26, 2024; additional work beyond this period may be available for exceptional performers.
This is a part-time temporary spring analyst position of approximately 16-24 hours per week. To be considered, the candidate must have at a minimum two (2) full days per week available to work during 9:00am - 5:00pm. Three (3) full days of availability is preferred. The position(s) will be as an independent contractor and require execution of a formal agreement in advance of the beginning of the work. A copy of the agreement will be provided at the time an offer is extended to a candidate by Core Finance Team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain absolute confidentiality about the materials read and handled.
- Strong data analysis capability using Microsoft Excel. All candidates should be able to interpret and extract data from a series of documents using Excel spreadsheets and other database programs. Familiarity with Excel pivot tables, advanced functions, and formula. Skill with Visual Basic macros is a plus.
- Candidate should have made substantial progress (completion of the sophomore year) towards a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Risk Management and Insurance. Masters of Business Administration students would be given preference.
- Demonstrated abilities to work in a team environment, while meeting tight client deadlines, are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to document and explain complex factual information in precise and concise written form and verbal, using technical terms and proper English.
- Demonstrated excellence in attention to detail and highly organized.
- Candidate should be able to deliver work under time pressure.
- Related tasks as needed (in the past has included assisting in research, analysis of findings, organizing material and data, etc.).
DESIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- The candidate should have a demonstrated expertise in mathematics, verbal or other technical discipline as evidenced by appropriate course works with excellent grades and/ or scores on ACT, SAT, GRE or GMAT exams.
- Attention to details and ability to focus on complex tasks for extended periods.
- Independent judgment, which includes knowing when to ask for additional instruction or assistance.
- Ability to work independently and to manage own time under very tight deadlines.
- Reliability, integrity and discretion regarding maintaining confidentiality of materials.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Power Point and Access).
WORK EXPERIENCE OFFERED

COMPENSATION
This is a paid analyst(s) position at a rate of $19.00/hour with a completion payment of $600 upon completion of the services. Additionally includes the ability to earn a $500 performance bonus awarded at the end of the term.
