Internal mobility is a focus at CMHA with 6 members of our leadership team growing from individual contributors to Senior Leaders.

CMHA is looking to hire a Clinical Intern for our Extended Day Treatment and Out Patient programs. This position will be located in Waterbury.

Position Summary: The Clinical Intern will be under the supervision of the appropriately credentialed individual, the student intern/practicum student will be an active part of a multidisciplinary team that provides outpatient assessment and clinical treatment services to adults/children who present with a wide range of significant behavioral health needs and substance abuse issues. Treatment is aimed at assisting individuals by helping them develop the skills necessary to improve their quality of life.

  • In pursuit of a Masters, or Doctoral degree in a clinical discipline such as psychology; social work; counseling; marriage and family therapy
  • Demonstrates beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
  • Demonstrates desire to work with children, adolescents, families and adults with serious behavioral health issues

COMPENSATION RANGE- this is an unpaid internship
