This position serves as a first-line Supervisor to the Collection Services Bureau (CSB), Financial and Administrative Unit (FAU). This position is responsible for hiring, training, and supervising staff as well as prioritizing, coordinating, and monitoring the activities of the Unit’s programs. Further, this position is responsible for overseeing and maintaining employee quality assurance, performance standards, internal controls, and objectives for the Unit. This employee will obtain and analyze production reports and other work products to make recommendations for changes to business practices that will improve program processes.
  
FAU, and specifically this program area, are responsible for support services on behalf of CSB and in coordination with other areas of Treasury and external customers. Program activities include administrative and financial account adjustments, oversight of City, State and Federal Offset programs, processing of Non-Sufficient Checks (NSF), researching and correcting account errors, monitoring system reports, and maintaining disposal and retention inventory for various CSB system reports, payment batches and other documents. This program area also processes incoming taxpayer and debtor correspondence/documents for proper imaging and routes images to be worked. 
 
The employee in this position is a member of the Information Processing Division leadership team and as such, leads special projects, gives presentations, attends meetings on behalf of the Division, instructs and mentors new staff, and works with peers and subordinates to resolve issues. This employee contributes to the continuous improvement of CSB by participating on committees as directed and assisting in the development and implementation of strategic goals.
