Student Trainee (Program Support)

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is seeking applicants for our open Student Trainee (Program Support) internships.

The mission of the SEC is to protect investors; maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets; and facilitate capital formation. More information about the SEC is located here.

The Pathways Internship Program targets students accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree or certificate at an accredited educational institution. The program provides students with paid internship opportunities to explore Federal careers while in school. Students receive training to help them advance in their internship as well as work experience that augments their education. Internship assignments range from supporting securities regulations to assisting in professional administrative duties such as human resources, contracting, auditing, etc. Students who successfully complete the program may obtain a permanent job in the Federal Government.

·      This position is open to U.S. Citizens.
·      You must be accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree or certificate at an accredited educational institution on at least a half-time basis.
·      You must possess a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of a 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

·      These internships are intended for current students who have completed at least four (4) academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's degree or higher-level degree; and will remain a student throughout the Fall 2023 semester.
