These are office-centered positions--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. Partial work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized.
Duties
You will:
- Assist remedial project management staff in reviewing risk assessments concerning hazardous waste sites.
- Analyze exposure scenarios, toxicological data, and/or technical statistical concerns to ensure a scientifically defensible manner consistent with Agency policy and guidelines.
- Participate in a variety of meetings concerning the course of actions and decisions of public health and environmental effects of contaminants and presents the analysis results from discussions.
- Provide assistance with cleanup actions and explain the nature of hazards present, identify current and likely potential exposure scenarios, and/or describe chemical and biological characteristics.
When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
