Software Developer Internship, Google Flutter/Dart

Join us for a creative 12-week Software Development Internship. You’ll come with some experience in Flutter/DART, and join our initial proof-of-concept team and contribute to the development of an innovative remote employee engagement application.
In this internship you would…
  • In this role, you will work alongside our other developers to create the initial proof-of-concept of a user-centric solution that allows our employees to effectively interact with each other through geo-fencing techniques, schedules, user groups, events, news, posts, and other various ‘social employee’ features.
  • You will be working with our product owner and designer to implement visually appealing and responsive user interfaces, as well as integrating our application with various external APIs, such as HR systems, O365 tools, and other services.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to develop a high-quality proof-of-concept for an initial version of the application, ensuring seamless integration with email and SMS notifications, forms management, data visualization (such as heat maps), and role-based access controls.
  • You will collaborate with a small cross-functional team, to define, design, and deliver several initial features in line with this first phase of the project.
  • You should expect to work with developer AI tooling as well, for peer programming assistance and code review and feedback.
Requirements for the role include:
  • An understanding of Flutter, Dart, and related development tools will help lead you to success in this role.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills will also be critical for this role, as the majority of the team is distributed.
  • You’ll be measured on the completion of an agreed upon functional prototype, that’s well documented, so that the next engineering team will be able to continue on with the work after your successful internship is complete.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with AI tooling is a plus
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
