Special Education EI Teacher

 

The Okemos Public Schools is accepting applications for outstanding EI program teacher candidates. The EI Teacher candidate will facilitate specialized instruction to a diverse group of students with cross-categorical special education needs.

Qualifications:

SE Endorsement Required

Professional, collaborative and collegial problem solver.

 

·        Previous experience working with secondary students.

·        Ability to collaborate with colleagues.

·        Connects well with parents/guardians.

·        Growth and asset-minded . . . each day is a ‘get-to’ day.

·        Demonstrated advocacy for students with disabilities.

·        Demonstrated knowledge and experience in writing and implementing IEPs.

·        Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of a variety of interventions and utilized multiple teaching methods.

·        Strong communication skills.

·        Highly organized.

 

Starting Salary $44358+
