Undergraduate/Graduate (Year-Round) Intern - Stability Tests Infrastructure

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory is looking for a Stability Tests Infrastructure Intern for the Perovskite research group. The intern will assist in buildout and maintenance of experimental platforms, support of laboratory equipment, and limited support of research projects.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the assembly and installation of a stability test system
  • Load/unload test samples and monitor ongoing experiments
  • Assist with maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Assist in the design and buildout of new experiments
  • Related laboratory and project support duties as assigned

While this posting is in support of perovskite research efforts, the job duties are primarily focused on the design and build of experimental apparatus and care of lab equipment. The ideal candidate would be mechanically inclined with a mind towards well-finished builds. Knowledge of tool use and SolidWorks would be beneficial. Additional activities might include soldering and wiring electrical components.

Basic Qualifications


Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree program, or graduated in the past 12 months from an accredited institution. Internship period cannot exceed 12 months past graduation. Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
