Digital Navigator Paid Internship

Today information is abundant, and our methods of communication have significantly changed. Interested in learning how the City of San Diego utilizes the technology it has access to support and develop the community. The Information and Communication Technologies Internships will give you the chance to bring important information to the residents of San Diego as well as understand how technology is being employed to benefit the City.

Internship description: Digital Navigators (DNs) are trusted guides who
assist community members in learning digital skills (including basic tech tasks), and accessing affordable internet and technological devices. This is a hybrid position both over the phone and in-person (Public Library, Recreation or Community Center). Work as a representative in the community to assist residents with: acquiring affordable internet, filling out online forms, acquiring affordable computers, other basic tech tasks, feeling more confident with technology. Understand the digital divide in San Diego region and nationally including policy and funding trends. Learn and exercise customer service
skills. Learn about federal, state, and local.
