HVAC Mechanic II, NCJA | North Carolina Department of Justice

This position is part of the maintenance team at the N.C. Justice Academy in Salemburg, NC.

What you'll do:

1. Maintain facilities of the North Carolina Justice Academy in a high state of readiness through proper maintenance and repair of campus wide HVAC systems. Systems include chillers, spilt systems, package units, PTAC's, and boilers.

2. Assist maintenance technicians in the electrical, plumbing, automotive, and carpentry sections.

3. Perform routine and preventative maintenance associated with HVAC and

refrigeration systems.

4. Evaluate and provide suggestions for improvements to the NCJA facilities.

This position generally works Monday – Friday from 8:00am- 5:00pm. Night and or weekend work may be required due to electrical problems or emergency situation. Hours could
