Mid-Level Test and Evaluation Engineer Level 3 (00000316579)

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Mid-Level Test and Evaluation Engineer – Intermediate Frequency Processor / Digital Frequency Processor (IFPR/DPR) located in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate will be responsible for the troubleshooting and testing of an IFPR/DPR in the PAC-3 production facility.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the development and verification of test methods
  • Develop detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan
  • Develop solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact
  • Design test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements
  • Use analytical tools to verify the design
  • Analyze, process, and format data to customer requirements
  • Review test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
  • Prepare and publish test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements
  • Present test results internally
  • Archive data and reports
  • Train others
  • Work under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 3+ years of experience in testing and troubleshooting electronic equipment
  • 3+ years of experience with testing hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active / Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance is a PLUS
  • Experience working across a team representing multiple skill areas with internal and external resources and customers is preferred
  • Experience with complex electronic systems development, procurement, integration, test and troubleshooting is preferred
  • Experience with production/factory engineering processes is preferred

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
