Environmental Health & Safety Intern

Specifically, the EH&S Intern will work as a strategic site level leader that interfaces with all departments to ensure environmental health and safety aspects meet the standards of Fanatics and all governing bodies.

Job Responsibilities: 
The internship position provides opportunities to work alongside our site level employees, support teams, and leadership groups to drive improvement with facility EHS compliance.  Weekly tasks will be geared towards auditing, implementing, and improving site level processes across a wide range of EHS competencies including Waste Water, Air Emissions, Forklift (powered industrial truck), Universal Waste, Safety Training, Fall Hazard, and Heat Stress Prevention.

Ensure that all federal, state and local laws, regulations, standards and codes are observed and serving as an escalation resource when opportunities or gaps are observed.  

Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices within this high velocity screen printing manufacturing facility, conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices.

Generate status reports that communicate weekly progress of EHS action items assigned to leaders at the site.

Assist the EHS Manager with serving as the primary point of contact for initial Environmental or Operational Safety Procedure escalations from Athletes and Leadership. 

Measure the effectiveness of completed actions to ensure consistency and continuous improvement in complying with all governmental standards and existing Fanatics.com procedures.

Basic Qualifications: Knowledgeable of OSHA standards. Proficient in MS Word & Excel. Must maintain professional verbal and written communication skills as our audience ranges from director level to manufacturing Athlete.  

This is a part-time internship. Candidate must be able to work at least 20 hours/week from August 2021-December 2021. 

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work non-regular hours as business needs require. Bilingual highly preferred.

Required Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited university obtaining a degree with at least one semester or quarter left at time of start, or a graduate Alumni within your first year of graduation from a degree program looking for an internship to jump-start your career
