Non Hourly Electrician Sandusky, OH

The Electricians must be safety oriented. Electricians work consist and requires strong experience in industrial electricity or equivalent training. Perform repair and maintain electrical equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure the highest capability and optimum performance of the facility. Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical systems at the dock, which include the car dumper, the conveyor belt system, the silos, the stockpile equipment (bandwagon, bucket wheel reclaimer, and tripper hopper), pumps, motors, gearboxes and heaters inside thaw shed. Electricians also maintain the electrical equipment associated with the Dust Control and Storm Water Management System governed by EPA permits. Ability to design, set up projects, jobs independently or with team. Ability to operate various equipment, as needed. Ability to work with various contractors daily.
Responsible for correcting problems associated with ControlLogix’s and PLC-5 programmable logic controllers. Will be required to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment including various voltages up to 600v, AC & DC Motors, 3-phase motors, and variable speed drives. Requires working knowledge of DC-300 drive systems, ABB AC-880 drive, ABB DC-880, motor control centers, transformers, motors, and generators. Regarding operational concerns, perform all electrical operations integral to the trans-loading of coal to lake freighters and barges and all car-dumping activities.
