Software Engineer Intern

This position is based out of Magnolia Capital’s headquarters in Chicago. Duration of the program 8 weeks, June 20th – August 12th.

Job Summary

The Software Engineer Intern will assist in the development, testing & maintenance of Magnolia’s systems and applications. You are an innovator, creator, and problem solver. You have some software development experience and are not afraid to embrace new technology or work with new tools to solve problems.
 
Essential job duties
  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of solutions in the cloud 
  • Assist in automating manual processes using RPA tools 
  • Participate in building out integrations between our proprietary applications and third-party applications to enable new functionality 
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and utilize SDLC tools like Jira and GitHub

What we are looking for
  • Strong academic track record studying an undergraduate degree in Computer Science
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Some software or database development experience (school experience is applicable)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving
  • Self-starter who is motivated to succeed, has high energy, and demonstrated ability to think creatively when solving problems
