DataOps Administrator Intern

DataOps Administrator will be responsible for working with a full stack of Business Intelligence (BI) related applications including Looker, PowerBI, MuleSoft, GitHub, and Snowflake. These applications are a hybrid of SaaS and IaaS and are maintained in various cloud environments. Responsibilities will include automation, periodic maintenance and health checks, application access, governance, upgrades, patching, and operations/support. The DataOps Administrator will be encouraged to stay up to date with newest technologies, have ownership, be self-motivated, proactive, and strive to maintain software first / DevOps approach to all tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for administrative activities related to all BI Applications, platforms, and tools. 
  • Responsible for all admin activities included but not limited to installation, connectivity, configuration, administration, security compliance check, patching, migration, upgrade, maintenance, deployment, automation, and monitoring.
  • Major emphasis on automation / integration / trouble shooting / bug fixing with customer focus.
  • Must be agile and respond to constantly evolving priorities.
  • Maintain peer relationships across IT areas (infrastructure, operations, network, security, etc.) to support effective implementations.
  • Take ownership & ensure production move up process is done in a repeatable, coordinated, and flawless manner.
  • Responsible for staying on top of rapid technical changes in this field

Key Skills:

  • Ability to do research on integrating new technology in our landscape.
  • Prepare documentation where necessary, including training, process flows, system structure, network deployment architecture etc
  • Java, Python, R or other functional programming languages
  • Exposure to Informatica, Looker, Power BI, Hyperion (Essbase / Planning), Snowflake, or Alteryx is preferred
  • Interest in current and emerging BI technologies
  • Excellent team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.
  • Communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
