Sourcing Project/Program Manager

Manage the development and execution of assigned projects. This position will be responsible for participating on and/or leading cross functional-projects related to post-launch value engineering projects. Responsible to lead presentations for tollgate reviews, supply chain readiness reviews, and start-up coordination with the respective internal customers. 
 
Principal Accountabilities
Project Facilitation and Development (85%):
1.    Responsible for coordinating projects with international and regional suppliers to include but not limited to: PPC Projects, supply chain continuity projects, manufacturing efficiency projects as assigned to support Tempur Sealy’s day to day business requirements.
2.      Responsible for ramp-up and initial roll-out of projects ensuring consistent response and buy-in from internal service customers.
3.      Responsible to create and maintain all project documentation including but not limited to project charter, savings estimates, tollgate checklist and project timelines. Responsible to report project status and cost savings outlook to management team and cross functional team as necessary.
5.      Responsible to work with Finance and PPC Manager to accurately outlook cost savings for each PPC project.
6.      Interface with Category Manager to understand applicable category strategies and participate in the negotiation of Supplier Terms and Conditions.
7.      Communicate project status on a regular basis (weekly priority matrix updates, quarterly status reports, monthly metrics etc.).
8.      Work cross functionally to develop best practices and early involvement within all projects.
 
Purchasing Administration (15%)
1.      Prepare price analysis comparisons and other reports as needed.
2.      Use existing systems for reporting and data storage.
3.      Resolve sourcing related problems for new programs (i.e. pricing, scheduling, investigating discrepancies and gathering required information by telephone and/or questionnaires from suppliers and Tempur Sealy personnel).
4.      Represent Sourcing at internal meetings as needed.
5.      Disseminate information to suppliers, internal customers, and management as required.        
 
Minimum Qualifications Required For This Position
  • Education: Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Prefer Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs is required (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Project etc…)
  • Strong math and business analytical skills
  • Ability to lead a cross functional team
