Summary of essential job functions
  • Expand intellectual curiosity and personal stock through elaboration of insights along with first-class industry resources in the realm of retailer, brand and consumer analytics
  • Encounter strategic planning sessions with clients, introduction to client interview process and final application of planning through sales presentation at the customer level
  • Hands-on experience with several analytic tools and resources such as Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, Blue Yonder and proprietary query systems to broaden data collection knowledge.
  • Evolve and elevate analytic ability from simple reporting to delivering meaningful, actionable solutions through a “story development” process.
  • Work alongside Analyst team to collaborate/shadow on team projects, as well as independent project work, to learn how analysts interact with the many levels of an Agency. Open-learning environment allowing interns to ask numerous questions and experience the culture of CA Carlin
  • “Analytic Connectivity”-Understand how POGs are created through JDA/Blue Yonder software to maximize volume potential at the shelf and “how” Carlin executes at the at store-level to ensure success
  • Be exposed to as many sales objectives as possible to understand time management and a fast-paced environment
  • Complete various tasks provided by direct report/Intern manager
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Minimum requirements
  • Seeking a degree in similar environment such as Consumer and/or Marketing Analytics or Big Data
  • Basic computer and email ability required; willing to accept training
