Accounting Internship (Fall 2022)

Accounting Intern (fall 2022)
The Accounting Interns at Spot play a very important role in assisting the Spot Accounting team in processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions. Interns will also assist in special projects as needed by the accounting management team. These individuals are very detail-oriented, self-motivated, and analytical.

Responsibilities:
  • Learns and executes business processes and identifies opportunities for improvements
  • Proactively plans and organizes day to day activities independently
  • Follows billing processes, identifying and problem solving any discrepancies along the way
  • Has strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Audits Bill of Lading information against carrier invoices and receipts to verify accuracy
  • Works collaboratively with the accounting department to meet performance goals

Qualifications:
  • Must be working toward a bachelor’s degree; Accounting/Finance concentration is preferred
  • A strong sense of urgency to complete tasks to thrive in a fast-paced work environment along with unwavering attention to detail
