MOCS is the City's oversight and service agency that is dedicated to optimizing existing operations and transforming processes to make it easier to do business with the City. MOCS works with agencies, vendors, and providers to ensure that the contracting process is fair, efficient, transparent, and cost effective to the City.

The PMO is one of the main (3) units that form the Technology Strategy division under the office of Chief Technology Officer. The PMO provides governance and oversight for the PASSPort project and strategic operational support for the Technology Strategy division. 
 
The PMO is charged with applying repeatable, consistent and proven project and portfolio management frameworks across the organization to ensure diligence in project planning, selection, and execution in order to help MOCS achieve its mission and strategic objectives. It strives to create procedures and best practices that will streamline operational practices, provide governance and process improvement for the division.

Responsibilities will include: Point of contact the Project Management Office with daily operations including: 
• Software release and defect management 
• Cross-team coordination 
• Project documentation 
• Project tracking and reporting 
• Assist Project Managers and Senior Project Analysts in daily PMO operations 
• Participate/lead in the improvement of project and portfolio management processes and tools 
• Identify and present new ideas to simplify or innovate the PMO processes 
• Enhance metrics and reporting capabilities 
• Facilitate the development of PMO leadership presentations

Qualifications/Special Skills:
Senior undergraduate or graduate student from an accredited college or university with Project Management courses. Preference will be given to Technology Management program of study.
Preferred Skills:
• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Must Highly organized, efficient, and extremely detail oriented.
• Ability to critically think to solve problems
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other units and team members.
• Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel, SharePoint
• Third-year undergraduate college student (1 year from graduation date) or recent college graduate
• Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 grade point average- 
• Demonstrated strength in verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
