Military Veteran- Tour of Duty Associate – Security Support Specialist

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a recently transitioned military veteran, military spouse, actively serving National Guard or Reservist

Preferred Qualifications 
  • 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience in operating and troubleshooting CCTV’s
  • Experience in Physical Security or Law Enforcement
  • Basic understanding/knowledge of IT networking
  • Proficient computer skills with advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Understanding of basic troubleshooting and PC/software-related problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Aptitude for identifying opportunities and taking appropriate action
  • High motivation and a focused personality
  • Flexible schedule

Job Summary
The Rocket Mortgage Tour of Duty program is an exclusive 6-month program designed to give recently transitioned veterans the opportunity to gain priceless, hands-on experience at an award-winning company. Our Tour of Duty Associates learn how it feels to be in the civilian workplace, participate in events around the city of Detroit and become valuable members of our team. As a Security Support Specialist, you'll provide assistance and office support to the Security Technology team and other related business areas. Duties include processing phone calls, emails and service requests, participating in new hire orientation, providing essential IT support of security products and software troubleshooting. To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to adapt to new projects and duties as assigned by your team leader.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and oversee device programming and configuration
  • Make system modifications and changes
  • Conduct daily enterprise system checks and status
  • Document issues within the system and take corrective action
  • Complete preventive maintenance
  • Perform system archives and backups
  • Verify/validate system components and configurations
  • Handle mapping of security devices
