Technology Service Desk Internship- Chicago

Life as a Hightower Intern:
 
Our Interns have the chance to learn more about Hightower’s culture and businesses while developing practical skills necessary for future success and post-graduate opportunities. The program includes weekly conversations with C-level professionals related to career development, networking opportunities with Hightower with fellow interns and colleagues, and engaging workshops related post-graduation skills and money management. The program culminates with a final presentation given to Hightower executives, managers, and fellow interns where you will highlight your experience.
 
The summer internship program is a 10-week long program aimed to provide opportunities to:
 
  • Learn directly from industry experts by having weekly 1:1 conversations related to career development
  • Attend workshops related post-college career paths and personal development
  • Gain exposure to the financial services industry
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of specific team and department initiatives and goal
 
As an intern, you will participate in development meeting, a variety of networking, mentoring and community events, all intended to reinforce the Core Values of the Program – Education, Innovation, Leadership, Collaboration and Service.
 
The position is full time for the 10 weeks and is a paid, non-exempt position.
 
Your Future Team:
The Information Technology- Services Department contributes to the success of Hightower by delivering innovative technology and best in class customer service to the organization. IT Services contributes to New Hire Onboarding and the development of enterprise solutions.
 
What You’ll Do:
 
- Provide outstanding customer service and a positive support experience by interfacing directly with end-users on issues and requests, communicating clearly and concisely.
 
- Inspect equipment for initial set-ups, configurations, installations, upgrades, repairs, etc.
 
- Work with vendors to evaluate hardware and software issues and coordinate repairs. Pick up or deliver equipment as required.
 
- Demonstrate a willingness to grow yourself through collaboration with the team and training tools.
 
-Participate in projects as assigned.

  • Committed to learning. You are a current full-time, undergraduate student pursing a bachelor’s degree and have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future.
